On August 20, 2020 USA Today released a list of their favorite 100 Black novelists and fiction writers. The list included many Consortium authors, including Bernice L. McFadden, Rivers Solomon, Bernardine Evaristo, Marlon James, Edwidge Danticat, Tayari Jones, and Jamaica Kincaid.

Lucy Ellman has won the Tait Black Prize for Ducks, Newburyport (Biblioasis).

Trisha Low was named as a finalist for the 2019 Northern California Book Award for Creative Nonfiction for Socialist Realism (Coffee House Press).

Paisley Rekdal’s Nightingale (Copper Canyon Press) is a finalist for the Washington State Book Award.
